Men Don’t Cry, They Die Silently | Story of Vikram | Rishabh Shukla
Men Don’t Cry, They Die Silently
Vikram was the pillar of his family—providing, protecting, and sacrificing. Yet, no one saw his silent struggles. His father criticized his every decision, his wife dismissed his exhaustion, and his children barely acknowledged him beyond their needs.
One evening, after a heated argument where he was told, "You're just an ATM, nothing more!" something inside Vikram broke. He locked himself in his room, drowning in suffocating thoughts. His hands trembled as he wrote a final letter—"Maybe in death, I will find peace."
As he reached for the bottle of pills, his eight-year-old son knocked on the door. "Papa, I need help with my homework." The innocent voice shattered the darkness. Tears streamed down Vikram’s face. For the first time, he let himself cry.
That night, he gathered courage. He walked out, looked his family in the eyes, and said, "I am not just an ATM. I am a human. Either respect me or lose me."
His words shook them. Regret, guilt, and fear dawned on their faces. And from that day, Vikram was not just a provider. He was seen, heard, and valued.
Because men don’t need silence. They need love too.
